The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) announced today the results of the 52nd quarterly auction of CO2 allowances.
All of the allowances on offer were sold at the auction held on June 02, 2021. The clearing price of $7.97 was the highest ever, surpassing the previous high of $7.60 which occurred in the March auction.
The June auction offered 23 million allowances from participating RGGI states. The ratio of bids to supply exceeded 2x and featured 65 bidders. More details on the auction are in the table below:
