The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) announced today the results of the 44th quarterly auction of CO2 allowances.
All of the allowances on offer were sold at the auction held on June 05, 2019. The clearing price of $5.62 was the highest since the December 2015 auction.
The June auction offered 13 million allowances from participating RGGI states. Compliance-oriented entities purchased just 38% of the allowances on offer, one of the lowest levels recorded. More details on the auction are in the table below:
