The U.S. EPA is tightening the seasonal NOx emissions cap in 12 states that contribute to air pollution in downwind states. The 'good neighbor' provisions under the revised Cross-State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR) mandate a further reduction in NOx emissions that cause smog conditions during the Spring and Summer months.
The new rules take effect in May, but the market has already responded. Evolution Markets highlights the major rule changes and their market impact in our CSAPR report.
